Before the movie theaters were closed and moved to Cenova Department Store and consequently their buildings pulled down the City of Shizuoka, following the example with the Hiroshige Ukiyo-e in Gofuku Cho Street, had the great idea to create an open air museum along Shichikrn Street just after it crosses the Showa Street!
The pole indicating the starting point of Shichi Bura Cinema Street!
They even indicated the project on the wrought iron grids surrounding the trees!
Also announced on each display box!
Like in Gofuku Street they use the same red granite abundantly even on the pavement to show the emblem bird of Shizuoka City,…
the emblem tree of Shizuoka City. or…
the emblem flower of Shizuoka City!
Each display pedestal is flanked with seats made of the same red granite. Unfortunately their access is somtimes blocked by bicycles or nearby building works!
The displays inside the boxes are really intriguing and deserve some research: reverse film apparatus!
Great sight in store!
Ancient movie camera!
What’s next?
Sun spot!
Now, what are those two?
Enormous microphones!
The works on the right are a real eyesore!
Suspension flight light and solar spot light!
Machine head!
And to finish a genuine antique 1971 movie program poster!
